How To Apply Your Sun Laboratories Tan Overnight Self Tanning Lotion

By Haywood Hunter

Forget about sunbathing or using tan beds to tint and glow your skin because today there are safe products that you can use to create that dark and bronzing look on your skin. UV free tans and bronzers are offering safer and faster way of glowing your skin. With Sun Laboratories Tan overnight self tanning lotion, you can achieve that gorgeous look without risking the body from damages caused by UV light.

A patch test will reveal how safe the product will be when you eventually apply it in the whole body. When ready to spread your tanning lotions, you need to pull your hair toward the back into a shower cap or ponytail. This will prevent accidental application of tans on the hair.

One thing you will need to do is clean the body of dirt, oils, salts, and dead skin. Showering and exfoliating skin will do away with this debris leaving the skin clean and ready to absorb the tans. When you exfoliate skin, you should pay attention to those dry areas such as the hands, feet, and elbows because these are the locations where it is a dead giveaway when applying self tanners.

Also, ensure you shake the lotions well in order to create that consistence in spreading on skin. When massaging your lotions, use a circular motion so that they distribute evenly on skin and create that natural fluid glow. Because the face may be too light for one type of product, you might want to consider using a separate face sunless tan.

The fragrances and other additives in the lotions could cause considerable reaction and sensitivity that may leave you uncomfortable. Applying these lotions is easy if you follow the instructions. However, if you do not adhere to the application guidelines, the glow may not come up clearly and you could end up with imperfections like streaks and ugly marks.

Besides, when you use these products prior to spreading tanners, they will interfere with the absorption of tans. However, there are a few exceptions when it comes to use of moisturizers or light lotions. In areas that are very dry and hard such as the feet and hands, you can apply small amounts of moisturizers and lotions in order to prevent too much soaking of tanners, something that leads to more darkened skin.

You may also use the dampened washcloth to blend the tanning color along the palm sides. Although you can go to the sunless tanning salon artists, if you are doing it at home, you may use a brush to spread the tan. It gets much easier as you get used to this. Use a soft tissue or special wipes to wipe the product gently.

If you are not comfortable in applying the tanning products, it is better to seek help. You may even consider going to the salon artists who are trained on how to apply these products. This will prevent you from messing up with your delicate skin and obtaining ugly marks and spots on skin due to heavy tinting.
